Our guide to lacing up a wedding dress
As your special day gets closer, focus on your breathing. Taking deep breaths is a great way to stay calm and reduce anxiousness
Don't be afraid to talk about your worries. Surround yourself with people you trust and speak to them about your concerns. This alone can reduce worry about your wedding day. Also, accept help from friends and delegate tasks, taking everything on yourself can lead to added stress.
Take time to do things that relax you. Keeping smiling whatever you do, and stay positive. Its your big day and your time to enjoy it.
Start early! We recommend looking for your perfect dress 12-18 months before your wedding date to allow delivery of the gown and alterations that need to be made.
Location! Knowing your venue and location will help you focus your search on the perfect dress.
Keep an open mind! This is the mantra that is repeated by wedding consultants. So take their advice, even if what they recommend doesn't seem like your style. Some dresses doesn't look much on the hanger, but look great when tried on.
Think fit, not size! Wedding dresses fit smaller than high street sizes. Forget the sizes and order one that fits now. It is easier to take in a dress than it is to let out.
Limit your entourage! It is tempting to invite everyone to see you try on your perfect dress. But bare in mind, the more people you invite, the more you could be overwhelmed and confused. Bring 2 or 3 loved ones who you will value their opnion and have your best interests at heart.
Remember, it is your dress! You should feel confident and beautiful in your wedding gown. Only you can make the right choice.
And finally......Enjoy yourself!!!
